The web version of Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D doesn't work right now because the server isn't sending the game files but I'm to lazy to fix it right now. I feel like it would be fun to make re-skins of Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D for my other cats and maybe also my sisters fishes too. If I do then there will probably be 4 more games with very similar gameplay to Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D.
I uploaded my gameplay videos to the website RetroTube to hopefully allow my games to reach more people. I will also look at creating other accounts on different social media platforms to spread my games further but I'm not sure which ones yet.
I made Towers available on macOS and Linux now however it might not work because I don't have a way of testing the builds on their operating systems. Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D can now be played in browser and on mobile phones with new touch screen options. I will only make some of my smaller games into browser games so there will be no games from THE GREYSCALE to play in browser.
I am going to try to build some of my projects to other platforms like macOS and Linux and I will also try building Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D to webGL to see how that is too.
Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D is now released on itchio and I also removed the "Choppy" personal webpage because I felt that it didn't fit the website that much. it was also kind of dragging me down trying to keep up with it.
Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D is probably going to be released tomorrow so be prepared for the fluffiness of Bunni Waffles in his hit game.
I haven't updated the website much in the past few weeks but I have been working on other things like the engine for H-MC-S. H-MC-S is the same as the idea for "dream engine" I said in update #002 which I kind of never mentioned afterwards. I will put a picture to show a demo of what H-MC-S looks like right now. I have a player entity as the red square and a white entity following the player.
I'm making a new game called Bunni Waffles Simulator 3D which will be about catching bees out the air and it's will be similar to another game called CrAzYcATtLE3D but will have different gameplay.
I'm starting to make the engine for H-MC-S because the old thing I made isn't very good and it would be better if I made some sort of level engine to make the game. That would also mean that I can share the engine so other people can also make their own levels for H-MC-S.
Scary Woods Game will be the next to release from THE GREYSCALE.
I uploaded a walk-through for Towers 11 hours ago and it already has 180 views so it looks like it was the right idea to get onto YouTube.
I'm not going to add a message box anymore since it won't fit with everything else on the website. Now that I'm out of school I can fully focus on the website and THE GREYSCALE so expect new games in the coming months! Also I will make a YouTube channel for walk throughs for some of my games to hopefully get more attention to my games.
I haven't been able to do much with the site in the past week because I'm a new computer and transferring all the files is taking a long time. I'm thinking of adding a chat box from cbox so people can leave messages
I'm going to change THE GREYSCALE cover to something else since I think it looks a bit low effort right now. I'll probably make it an edited real life image and I'll make sure to include the sierpinski triangle in it somewhere. The internal art may stay the same though but it depends if I come up with any brilliant ideas.
I added another counter to the bottom of the index page to count the refreshes count on the page because I think it's interesting to see the stats.
The counter has already reached 28 unique people in three days so hello to the 26 new people who have visited my site!
I made a small personal page so I can have my own corner on the site. Also I started an itch io page so people can find my games on a more well known platform. The itch io page will only be simple though because I dont want it to become the main host of my games. I also will only add my best games to itch io because I don't think games like Cube Ecosystem are worth the time of making a whole other page for it.
I added a little visitor counter to the index page so I can see how many unique people have come to my site.
I will change the websites main font to 'Georgia' font because I think the numerals look nice and it is a serif font which is imperative for the website.
I made a new 'Other programs' section on the games page and added Image Editor under it.
I changed the name of "plastic4" again because I didn't like the randomness of DSCAZ NOWZO! and I love plastic4.
I added a new textured border to go around the outside of pages to make the contents look more embedded. Also I changed the name of a new game to "DSCAZ NOWZO!" because I felt that the original name was too normal and boring. That doesn't mean that the old name is gone forever though because to get the new name I encrypted the old one.
I got the domain now so choppygames.com is truly real.
I made a graph which I call a "bubble map" of the website so you can see which pages are linked together. Red lines means the pages are connected to eachother two ways and red to blue lines are connected one way from red to blue. The middle node with the circle of connections is the games page and the branch with the triangle is to the index page and all the pages connected to it. I should probably add labels for it and make it automatic so I don't have to make the links myself. Also I am working on making a proper download counter for the game pages which I think should be a main priority now that the website is live.
I have decided I want to add more GIFs to the website and I will use Microsoft GIF Animator to make the them.
Some parts of the website broke when I switched webservers so some links may not work correctly. I tried my best to fix all of them but some might still be dysfunctional so if you find any then send an e-mail please.
I just got done finishing the webserver so now you can access the website from the internet so today is the official release date of ChoppyGames, woo hoo! I still don't have a domain name though.
I'm going to remove the albums page and just put THE GREYSCALE along side the games on the games page. Although it might be confusing to people to display a game next to an album that also contains a seperate hyperlink to the same game.
I probably take a break from the website and THE GREYSCALE for a bit to work on my exams more so I get better GCSE grades which is probably more worth it then releasing something like Train Game a bit earlier. I will still do bits here and there on the website but nothing major will happen.
I just got finished remaking all of Towers and just released the game to the website just before the deadline of 2026/05/03 23:59:59. I took me about 5 hours just to get everything right but in the end I was able to fully recreate the game. Go play it!
Towers will not release on May 3rd because of a tragedy which happened while building the game. What happened was that as the game was building the drive it was on ran out of space so unity tried to abort the build but it failed and copied the main menu scene over on top of the game scene which contained everything. After unity told me it had failed I ignored the errors and decided to make another build which I dont blame myself for because unity is always moaning about random stuff. I also deleted the old build from recycling to save space which is important. Once the new build was complete I played it and found that when I pressed "begin game" button it loaded the same scene. This was because the game scene was just a copy of the main menu so the only whing the button did was load a copy of the main menu. After I went back to unity and figured out what had happened and I tried to recover the scene but I couldnt find anything and since I emptied the recycle bin I didnt have access the the files of the old build which would have contained the data for the scene which I could have ripped. After me and my dad started to try recover data from the drive with a software and we did actually find a file which contained data about the game scene but it only had certain fragments of data and not the whole thing. Now I have decided that the only way to continue is to recreate the game. Its really a shame that it happened now because I was ready to upload it and all I had left to do was to fix some tiny errors. I will put a picture of what the broken scene file looked like so you can see what I have left. You can see the windows for one of the Towers in the image and some other random bits like the torus from World 3 and a piece of Tower 5 which will be a bit useful but its not much. I am sad.
Me and my friend made the track on a phone call earlier so now all I need to do is make sound effects for another part of the game then it will be finished. I plan on releasing it on Sunday May 03, 2026 so I still have about 2 days to make sure its good.
My friend and I agreed that he could make the audio track for Towers.
I added the first sound to the sounds page in resources. Also I am finding audio for Towers from Freesound.org if I dont make the sound myself.
I'm going to add stamps to some game pages like stamp of quality because I remembered that Nintendo put stamps of quality on their cover boxes and I think it will be fun to have some of my own.
I have some good ideas for the gameplay of Red Houses so I will do my best to make it as good as it can be.
I think I will find a source for sounds in the games since I dont have anything good to record with but I will still try and make sounds for some things and probably put them on the sounds resource page since it is desolate right now.
Ball Game is on pause right now and I dont know when I will finish it because I cant figure out how to complete it. Also I might change the games page so that the games are stacked in rows and columns so they're easier to access and so that there is less blank space.
Completed Mine Clearer and its now on the game page.
Uploaded Empire Invasions and I'm thinking about uploading a mine sweeper clone too but I need to fix it first. I also moved Conway's Game of Life and Powder from the 'Unfun' section to the 'Simulation' section.
I am extending the length of THE GREYSCALE but I dont know how long it will be by the time its complete but probably around 8 or 9 games. I some ideas for games like Red Houses which I am excited about.
I thought of a Ball Game to make so I will try finishing it today.
I added a to-do list to the top of the page so I can remember what I need to do and also so you can see what might be coming in the future. It's a bit like a summary of the updates page and my thoughts. I'll put them in order of importance too.
I'm going to make a game wiki for specific information about games. Also I want to make a multiplayer world war one game that will have trench warfare and other world war one things.
Aren't the Towers beautiful?
I'm going to make a 3D version of Universe but I don't know how I would make a particle spawning system. It's not like the player can just click on their screen to spawn at a position because there are multiple distances that it could be from one point in screen space.
Towers will probably be the first game to release from THE GREYSCALE since it's the one I'm working on the most right now and I have also planned out the whole game now.
Going to add a pixel team game I made which is similar to Conway's Game of Life and Powder but it has a bug where the pixels are more likey to attack to the right than left so they slowly move to the right and which ever one was on the left at the start will end up winning.
Im still adding new things to the H-MC-S level editor so that it can be as versatile as possible incase I want to use it on other projects.
Orice.
Mortimer.
Renaming "Dream Places" to "HYPNOTISED-MIND CONRTOL-SIMULATOR" or H-MC-S for short
I was looking for a audio software and my friend recommended Ableton Live to me so i'll probably end up using that. Also my friend said he could make me some demo tracks to see if I like the sounds the software makes. I dont really know much about music theory or anything so I might ask him if he can make the music for my game. I don't know if he will though because he probably won't be getting anying out of this.
Added lovely new borders to images around the site. The border is the same one that I use for games and it's also on the Resources page if you want it.
I might add a "Number of downloads" stat to game pages but that would require me to use javascript which I want to avoid but I guess it inevitable for what I want to do. It would probably be better for the website too.
I'll probably release the level editor for H-MC-S when it's done so people can make and share their own levels but I dont know how well it would work with the other parts of the game because I probably allow the player to modify them bits. It would probably be better thought if I did because I like the idea of the player being able to mod the game to their liking. It could also make it unique and more fun that way too.
Changed the icon logo for the website to the youareanidiot face. Also I came up with more ideas for Towers gameplay.
I'm going to change the name for "Dream Places" but I need to decide on the new name before I do that and I have some ideas for a new name. I'm thinking something to do with mind controll or something like that.
Came up with a few ideas for what the gameplay in H-MC-S could be and I have started to make some of the tile maps for some levels.
nearly done creating the level editor for H-MC-S so soon I'll be able to start actually working on the game.
Made a fair amount of progress on Pigeon Hell today.
Created the inside cover, back cover and cd print for THE GREYSCALE so I can make real printed copies of it.
Changed Universe page to have white dots in the background to make it less boring. I like the outer space look of it and I think it fits.
Changed the index and games page to have a similar background to the update page.
Polished up an unreleased version 0.0.2 of Ultimate Build which I'll add to the page tomorrow.
I want to make a game that will be similar to Yume Nikki and LSD Dream Emulator in how you walk round in dream like places and find things but I'll have to come up with ideas on what the player would do in the dream places. Also I'll make a tile map editor for 2D games which I can use across multiple projects.
Started making a spring simulator but I don't know if I'll ever make it into an actual released game like Universe. The red and blue lines are the springs, red for extended and blue for compressed, and the cyan lines are the velocities of the objects.
The website has NOT gone live yet.
I was promised the website would go live before Christmas so im excited for that.
Got to work on the dungeon maker. Also I like to work on games concurrently so thats why I have multiple projects all being made at the same time.
I think a zelda 1-like dungeon creator could be fun to create.
Added the albums page under games and changed the layout of the games page to include a best games section.
Scary Woods Game is slowly getting closer to completion.
Finishing an old charged particle simulator from half a year ago so I can add it to the simulation category.
Im thinking of putting certain games that have a similar ideas to eachother into "albums" so it's easier to find games that are like eachother.
Added more new titles to main pages.
I added a new 3D model page to the resources page because I have a few models that I have used in previous projects. I only know th basics of 3D modeling in blender though so don't expect anything amazing.
I made more titles for the game pages and I want to change the way the game page looks because it looks a bit ugly right now. But that will have to wait until tomorrow.
Made a new logo type thing for the front page and I'm very happy with it.
Im going to start using
.com to make some cool text for titles on the web pages. Also im going to upload another maze game which I used to test wave function collapse algorithm a while ago.
Just changed the MAZE page to have bricks in the background and it look very fitting in my opinion.
I like the way the Ultimate Build background looks so I'll try some other backgrounds on other pages too.
Added Ultimate Build with a unique background on the main page. I hid a secret in the game options so find it (;
I'll add a new page for other software that aren't games because I might as well share my other stuff too.
I made a new resources section to the home page so I can share my textures and stuff I have made for my games.
Working on a new game in unity and also new web server for the public website.
The website might be going public to the world soon. That means I won't be talking to myself anymore. woo hoo!
I think I'll make 3D games in unity and 2D games in raylib.
I found another old game called MAZE so I'll add that too.
I might add some of my old unity games from years ago. Specifically the one about zombies because I think it's funny.
Im going to test 3D in raylib to see if it's any good and if it's not then i'll find something else to make 3D games with.
Adding a new version history page to each of the game pages so you see older versions and changes as well as being able to download them too.
I haven't done much in the past month because of school but I have ideas for games that I'll make at some point.
Powder is nearly done I just need to add multithreading but that will have to wait for tomorrow.
I'm making a quick powder game because I might as well since I already have most of the things already made from the Conway's Game of Life game. It will also make the website look more full of games. I'm also going to add animated logos to the games page and the games' pages. I'll start adding screenshots to some of the updates too so you can see whats going on.
Making a tile map in raylib to make 2D games easier to make. But I'll have to finish it tomorrow because I have school.
Trying to think of a good logo.
Game download tests working and thinking about making a game called "dream engine".
making the website...
